For Meeting Planners
It all started when…
The Process:
Step 1: Discovery call
Timeframe: 1-2 months prior to training (or so)
This initial call helps me gauge if I am the best fit for your needs. I usually ask a lot of questions and spend most of the time listening. Some questions beyond the basics include:
Why this topic? What is going on in the organization? What do you hope people take away from this session?
Is this a stand-alone session or part of a conference or series?
What other kinds of professional development has already been done?
What barriers might be present?
Step 2: Proposal and agreement
After the call, I will write up a proposal along with a few options at different price points. I do operate on a sliding scale for non-profits and educational institutions. Workshops can be combined with keynotes and coaching at a discounted rate.
Step 3: Booking and Verification
Once your date is booked, you will receive a timeline and be billed for a small deposit unless otherwise negotiated. You will receive a full outline and be able to adjust needed content up to two weeks before the day of the workshop. I do ask for a week's notice for any cancellations. Travel costs once booked are non-refundable.
Step 4: Pre-Workshop Touchbase
A week before your workshop you will receive the handouts, visual aid files, and any pre-work we’ve discussed for distribution. We will also discuss seating arrangements, AV needs, and anything else needed for a successful event.
Step 5: Showtime!
During the session, participants will be provided with a digital link to all materials, which will stay up for a month following the event.
Step 6: Debrief and Follow-up
A short evaluation will be provided both to participants and to the meeting planner so I can continue to imrpove the process.
